Michigan State University has had 6 months to figure out a safe back-to-school policy. Many Michigan colleges and universities have figured out a strategy to safely bring their students back to campus, Alma College, U of M and Eastern to name a few, and it is disappointing that the MSU leadership failed to create a safe back-to-school plan. While their current plan makes exemptions for athletes and graduate students, it is not enough. All students who are paying tuition should have the option to return to campus this fall.
Bringing back students and faculty to campus safely should be a top priority for Michigan State University. This is yet another reason why there needs to be a change in leadership at Michigan State.
As a Board member, I would have worked tirelessly to provide a safe environment for all programs at MSU, not just the programs that bring in the headlines and money.
I have a proven track record of turning failing businesses and institutions around and with your support, I will bring that experience to Michigan State University.
Go Green,
